There might be a more correct term to describe this, but I call it a knuckle.  It’s a slice from a beech log, at the projecting point where a limb – or in this case, two limbs – once grew but died and fell off.  What’s left is what you see, pretty much.  It’s meant to hang on a single nail, flush to your wall.    I’ve hollowed the openings out a bit, so you can put stuff in them as I’ve shown in the photos.  You’ll have to provide your own stuffing;  the bear stays here.
