Okay, you either love this one or hate it. Of those who have commented, none are on the middle ground. Embedded here is an actual baby hognose snake, found completely dead, flat, and desiccated in my driveway. He’s swimming over a river bottom of crushed glass, hence the admittedly cheesy name. But it fits.
The top is cherry,and the base is a sculpted chunk of cherry; you can probably tell it’s a piece of crotchwood. I simply cut and sanded it till I liked the shape. Maybe you will, too.
